Spence Legal Services was established in 2013 by attorney Cindi A. Spence. Spence Legal is a continuation of Cindi’s previous firm, Matt Legal Services. Spence Legal was established after Cindi Spence went through a name change, changing her name from Cindi Spence Matt to her maiden name, Cindi A. Spence. Cindi Spence has an established family history of attorneys practicing law in the State of Minnesota. Cindi’s grandfather, Thomas J. Spence, was the first to practice law in St. Paul in the 1920’s. Cindi’s father, Thomas W. Spence, was the second, practicing law in St. Paul and on the North Shore for 45 years. Cindi Spence is the third Spence to practice law in Minnesota and is proud to continue the tradition with a firm incorporating the Spence family name.
Prior to being Spence Legal Services, the firm was named Matt Legal Services, LLC. It was founded in 2010 by Buffalo, Minnesota attorney Cindi Spence Matt.
After being a member of the Wright County legal community for 15 years (first as a judicial law clerk, then as a practicing attorney), Cindi believed that she had the experience, dedication and ability to build a law firm which focused on things that were important to her : achieving exceptional results for her clients
